Welcome to the new era of human capital! No matter how much money a business may have, how savvy the marketing is, or how operationally efficient it may be, without human capital, a business isn’t a business. Working as a human resources professional is, undoubtedly, one of the most important jobs in the business world today. After all, you are the one ensuring that employees perform at their peak, leading the charge to motivate others to harness their visions for tomorrow’s business and make those visions realities.

Business schools around the world are increasingly recognizing the importance of training students in human capital strategies and solutions. Regardless of the job any graduate takes, there will always be hiring, staffing, and performance challenges.

That’s why the Owen Graduate School of Management is proud to host the eighth annual National MBA Human Capital Case Competition. Generously funded by GE and Deloitte Consulting, the competition will pit teams from top graduate schools across the country against each other to address a real-world human capital issue and present solutions relevant in today’s fast-paced global economy. Teams will present their solutions to a team of esteemed corporate judges from GE and Deloitte Consulting.

No matter what job you are looking for after business school, participating in the National MBA Human Capital Case Competition will better prepare you to interview and succeed on the job.

Each team must consist of exactly 5 total graduate students, comprised of two or three second year graduate students, and two or three first year graduate students from the same university. There is no limit on the numbers of teams that can apply from one school.

MBA students must be legal residents of USA.
