Microsoft Excel Collegiate Challenge (MECC)

The MECC aims to promote education in data analysis, business analysis, and Excel modeling using Microsoft Excel. Participants enhance their knowledge and skills through challenges and competitions. Challenges focus on building skills in data analysis, business analysis, and Excel modeling, while competitions enable participants to compete online or in-person. The MECC 2024 season will culminate in an in-person finals event over 3 days at the HyperX Esports Arena in Las Vegas, located within the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas, NV, USA.
Description
The MECC empowers college and university students to elevate their Excel proficiency through engaging challenges and competitions. It provides a platform for students to tackle real-world scenarios, making learning practical and enjoyable.
MECC consists of two main components: Challenges and Competitions. Challenges are completed individually at your own pace, covering topics ranging from personal finance models, like understanding credit card interest costs, to advanced Excel functions, and improving your efficiency by learning and practicing keyboard shortcuts, and can be done throughout the year. Competitions, held at specific times, offer a competitive platform to test your knowledge against students worldwide.
By participating in either or both components, you have the opportunity to showcase your skills and earn a Certificate of Completion. This program for students is free of charge.
