If yes, this Director Market Intelligence (Respiratory) role could be an ideal opportunity to explore.

As Director Market Intelligence (Respiratory) you will recommend, influence, plan and execute market research and analyses of syndicated studies and other industry reports for a specific business unit (Respiratory) based on an in-depth understanding of the products and segments, competitive environment, business model, and challenges/opportunities. Influence, together with other Commercial Insights leadership, decision-making by brand/ BU leadership. Build and foster a team that provides market intelligence excellence, strong business acumen, and customer focus.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following:

Maintain and pro-actively develop in-depth knowledge of specific customers' needs relevant to brands within the focus business unit, of broad methodological and approach expertise, of competitive environment, of business model, and of challenges/ opportunities, in order to identify and lead appropriate market intelligence efforts
Drive strategic and tactical decision-making for specific brands (Operational pans, forecasting, scenario planning) through identification and execution of timely, actionable, and methodologically sound research and analyses
Together with other Commercial Insights management, lead generation and articulation of insights with a view to pressure test and mature such insights for eventual testing and/ or full operationalization; Identify growth opportunities, demand levels, risks and threats, etc.
Manage “playbook” for market research and competitive intelligence efforts
Prioritize team support, based on needs of brand or BU leadership, and of Commercial Insight Lead
Develop clear, actionable recommendations through synthesizing and integrating findings from a variety of sources
Design and oversee execution of all market research by vendors and provide clear, actionable recommendations; Ensure methodological soundness of approach
Conduct occasional medium-range complexity secondary data assessments as required for the overall analyses of market intelligence efforts
Provide and defend U.S. market respective brand team view in projects handled jointly with GSK market research teams ex-U.S. (global or other market)

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

BA/Bachelor of Science required
8+ years of professional experience, full-time employment, of which the most recent three years in pharma, or in leading management consulting firm, or market research firm, with focus on Market Intelligence, in U.S. commercial pharma
Methodological knowledge of and experience in relevant market research approaches and techniques
Industry-standard competitive intelligence certification, or ability and willingness to acquire such certification within 12 months upon hire
Knowledge in and experience with Pharma relevant commercial areas, Primary Care (particularly Respiratory), Specialty (Immunology, Oncology), Vaccines
Leadership of teams and agencies/ vendors
Communication and presentation skills as evidenced through impactful management presentations, conference presentations, and/ or publications

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

MBA, MS, or MA in business, marketing science, or science preferred
Industry specific Competitive Intelligence certification
Deep knowledge in and experience with Pharma relevant commercial area of Respiratory
Understanding of the business impact of diversity and inclusion
Proven and advanced collaboration skills and cultural sensitivity
Strong business acumen and synthesis skills
Demonstrated ability to influence commercial leadership and confidently defend informed recommendations
Ability to work effectively across a matrix environment and influence without formal authority
Ability to lead through change and inspire agility/flexibility amongst team
Experience fostering personal development of direct reports
