Facebook is seeking a highly analytical, driven, and detail-oriented Business Planning and Operations Analyst. The role will support a team dedicated to the strategic and operational support of the Global Business Group’s Sales Executive Team, often working cross-functionally to source and analyze data that enables sales leadership make effective, analytically driven, and strategic operating decisions. The role will require leveraging SQL to source data and using tools such as Tableau and Excel so that he/she can analyze market, advertiser and agency performance on a regular basis. His/her analysis will support the global sales go-to-market strategy, program development and identification of short and long-term growth opportunities. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Facebook, view the world through an analytical lens, be interested in advertising, be intellectually curious, learn quickly, and be able to move fast while keeping focused on high-impact projects.
Conduct insightful analysis using internal and external data (e.g. revenue, product, market, industry) to derive insights that will drive strategic business decisions.
Play a key role in designing and implementing strategic and operational initiatives in partnership with leadership and cross-functional teams.
Drive operational excellence that supports Sales teams and cross functional partners, and ensure the smooth running of weekly, monthly and quarterly business rhythms (e.g. sales quota setting, insights for quarterly business reviews of the global sales business).
Focus on process and continuous improvement of core projects through automation and process enhancement.
Develop collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across the company and represent the team with cross-functional teams.
BA/BS in an analytical field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business or related field)
3+ years of work experience in Sales Finance, Sales Analytics, Sales Operations, and/or Strategy consulting, or 3+ years experience with MBA/Master’s degree
Demonstrated problem solving experience with experience providing business insights and recommendations from data sets
Demonstrated experience to present technical content to audiences
Stakeholder management experience – including managing multiple partners simultaneously
MBA or graduate degree in an analytical field
Ability to work independently, manage multiple concurrent projects and drive initiatives in a cross-functional environment
Experience extracting data from large/complex databases
Experience in data visualizations and building scalable reporting tools
